It was time for a change
Since the dawning of personal computers and the internet I have been a Windows user. It was the only oporating system I knew. I heard of something called Linux over the years, but always bellived it was something used by programmers.
Then it happened little by little. Forced updates that caused chaos, unwanted software and features you couldn't get rid of, loss of privacy and the cherry on top was the addition of AI. It was time for a change!
A New Beginning
It was time to make a radical change and so I did! With the help of a friend I began my journey into Linux! My eyes were opened to what seemed to be a million different "Distro's" (distributions/types of operating systems) within the Linux world.
After researching I decided on taking baby steps and starting with Linux Mint Cinnamon. It is a very Windows like enviornment so I thought it would be more intuitive for me.
Happily Linux Mint Cinnamon checked all the boxes!
Since that day a few months ago I haven't looked back or yearned for Windows. I have always loved penguins!
Have there been a few hiccups? Of course, but I learn and keep going. Have I tried other distros? Heck ya! I am currently running a Arch based Linux OS on my laptop!
Speaking of laptops, mine was unusable after a Windows update a few years ago. It turns out that Linux based OS take up a LOT LESS space! So an unusable laptop became usable once again!

- Customizable
In the photos above you can see how I "riced" my desktop (left pic) and how I riced my terminal (right pic). Can you tell I'm a Mandalorian fan? Ya, I'm a geek!
All in all, I am so impressed with Linux I could shout it from the rooftops! I am in control of everything and can customized (rice) to my heart's content!
This was by far one of my best decisions!
